Ronald J. Ziehm
Ron has a long history of experience in Jury trial cases. He has tried everything from ‘wet basement’ cases to multi-million dollar medical malpractice cases, well over 50 cases through to verdict. Ron has also jury tried criminal cases and even has had a couple of bench trials in divorce cases. For a number of years in Cuyahoga County, prospective jurors would watch a video of Ron in trial at the old courthouse, when they watched their introductory video for their week of jury service.
Over the past number years, Ron has focused his substantial courtroom experience in defending automobile liability cases. These cases combine two of Ron’s favorite subject areas: Cars and the human anatomy, with a particular focus on orthopedics and neurology. When Ron isn’t in the courtroom, you might see him tooling around in his 700+ horsepower Challenger Hellcat.
Ron has hung up his football cleats and no longer coaches his son’s team. They ended up winning league championships in Medina Gridiron Youth Football 3 out of his 5 years there. Now, Ron spends his time in the stands as a sports parent, along with all the other parents. His son plays travel hockey and that takes up a lot of Ron’s time…and money!
Ron is a member in good standing of the Ohio state and Federal Courts. He is also a member of numerous legal organizations. Most recently, Ron served on the Board of The Three-Deuce-Five Marine Foundation which exists to provide assistance, financial and otherwise, to Marines, Sailors and their families as they recover from wounds and other unforeseen hardships due to their military service.
